| 9 | In my opinion, parents should limit the time their children spend on social media, especially when the children are young. First of all, many children cannot stop scrolling once they start. My younger brother used to spend four hours a day watching short videos, and his grades dropped because he never had time to study. When my parents set a limit of one hour a day, he started reading again and even joined a basketball team. In addition, too much time online can hurt children's sleep and their self-confidence, because they keep comparing themselves to others. On the other hand, social media helps children stay in touch with their friends, so banning it completely is not the answer.
