Perfect Tenses & the Third Conditional

Up to now
has/have been + V-ing
The gulls have been circling since dawn.
פעולה שהתחילה בעבר ונמשכת עד עכשיו (for = פרק זמן, since = נקודת התחלה), או פעולה שזה עתה נגמרה ורואים את התוצאה. פשוט = כמה · מתמשך = כמה זמן. לא עם פעלי מצב (know, own).
The earlier past
had + V3 · hadn't + V3 · Had she left?
By the time the vet came, the farmer had moved the sheep.
מסמן את הפעולה שקרתה קודם משני אירועי עבר; המאוחרת נשארת בpast simple. מילות סימן: before, after, when, already, by the time.
Before a future point
will have + V3 · won't have + V3
By the end of August she will have completed the course.
פעולה שתושלם לפני נקודת זמן עתידית. חפשו by + זמן (by then, by the last day, by the time you arrive). עתיד פשוט = בנקודה · עתיד מושלם = לפני הנקודה.
The unreal past
If + past perfect, would have + V3
If the porter had left it, we would have found it.
מצב שלא קרה באמת, ולרוב חרטה. אין would בפסוקית ה-if, ובתוצאה אפשר גם could have / might have להבעת אפשרות.
A continuing background
had been + V-ing
The ground was wet because it had been raining all morning.
פעולת רקע שהתחילה לפני נקודה בעבר ועדיין נמשכה בה. העבר המושלם הפשוט אומר מה הסתיים; המתמשך אומר מה נמשך ולכמה זמן.
The future in the past
was / were going to + verb
He was going to call you, but his phone died.
מה שהיה עתיד ברגע הדיבור - תוכנית שהייתה לפנינו אז, ולרוב לא יצאה אל הפועל. זהו פריט של מסלול 5 יחידות.
We did not sign a keeper, so we lost the match.
If we had signed a keeper, we would have won.

Complete each sentence with the past perfect continuous, and in one line say what the background action explains.

Rewrite each plan as it looked at the time of speaking, using was / were going to, and then say in one line why the plan did not happen.
(a) Plan: I will call you tonight. (my phone died)
(b) Plan: They will open the shop in May. (the builders were late)
(c) Plan: She will apply for the course. (the deadline passed)

Each sentence has exactly one mistake. Write the correct sentence and explain the rule in a few words.

Write 4-5 sentences looking back at last school year: what you would do differently and what was going to happen but did not. פרק א - שאלות רב-ברירה (60 נקודות)
24 שאלות בארבעה סטים, מהצורה אל המשמעות ואל העבר הלא אמיתי (2.5 נק׳ לשאלה). בחרו תשובה, בדקו, והתקדמו:
Set 1 - Building the three perfect tenses: has/have been + V-ing, had + V3, will have + V3, with their negatives and questions. Set 2 - Choosing the perfect tense by meaning: duration against result, the order of two past actions, completion before a future point. Set 3 - The third conditional: the if-clause, the result, might have, what it implies about the real past, and a fix. Set 4 - The past perfect continuous as a background, the future in the past (was going to), and a find-the-mistake item.
