Write 4-5 sentences about what your family is doing right now. Use the present continuous (be + verb-ing). כתבו 4-5 משפטים על מה שבני המשפחה שלכם עושים עכשיו, בהווה הממושך (be + פועל עם ing).

Present continuous: am/is/are + verb-ing for actions happening now (is cooking, is reading, am doing).

Rewrite the sentence She watched a film yesterday. in (a) the negative and (b) a yes/no question. כתבו מחדש את המשפט (א) בשלילה ו-(ב) כשאלת כן/לא.

Past negative: didn't + base verb (watch). Past question: Did + subject + base verb.

3. Look at those clouds! It ___. (evidence we can see) השלימו עם will או be going to לפי ההקשר.

going to = a plan or a prediction from evidence we see; will = a decision made now, a promise or an offer.

Choose the correct tense, and say which signal word helped you. 1. She ___ (drink) coffee every morning.
2. Look! She ___ (drink) tea now. בחרו את הזמן הנכון, וציינו איזו מילת סימן עזרה לכם.

The signal word decides the tense: every morning = Simple; now / Look! = Continuous.
Question 5 · Reading analysis8 points

Read the short text and answer. One morning Maya found a wallet with a lot of money. Maya was poor, and her family needed the money. But she looked at the name inside and decided to return it to Mr. Cohen. (a) Why was it hard for Maya to return the wallet?
(b) The text later calls Maya honest. What does this word tell us about her? קראו את הטקסט הקצר וענו: (א) מדוע היה קשה למאיה להחזיר את הארנק; (ב) מה המילה honest מלמדת עלינו על מאיה.
