Present Continuous: Negative

כדי לשלול פעולה בהווה ממושך, מוסיפים not אחרי פועל העזר: am not / isn't / aren't + פועל עם -ing. הפועל העיקרי לא משתנה. I am not working. · She isn't working. · They aren't working. בלי do/does - ה־not נצמד ל־be.

Make each sentence negative (am not / isn't / aren't + verb-ing). In the last two, type the whole sentence using the short form. בחרו את פועל העזר בשלילה, ובשתי האחרונות הקלידו את המשפט המקוצר. הראשונה - דוגמה פתורה.

He isn't working today. מוסיפים not ל־be, וה-ing נשאר: I am not sleeping. · She isn't reading. · They aren't playing.

The form

be + not + verb-ing

מוסיפים not מיד אחרי am/is/are, והפועל העיקרי נשאר עם -ing. קיצורים: isn't (is not), aren't (are not); את am not מקצרים רק כ־I'm not.

מוסיפים not אחרי am/is/are; הפועל העיקרי נשאר עם -ing. בלי do/does. is not → isn't, are not → aren't, am not → I'm not.

אפשר לקצר בשתי דרכים:

She isn't = She's not
They aren't = They're not

חיוב: He is working.

שלילה · is + not + -ing

שלילה: He isn't working. (is + not + working)
