כדי לשאול שאלה בעבר ממושך, מעבירים את was/were להתחלה: Was / Were + נושא + פועל עם -ing? Were you working? תשובה קצרה: Yes, I was. / No, I wasn't. בשאלות Wh-: What were you doing?
